                       Structured Learning Experience

The SLE/Supervised Work Program at Creative Achievement offers our students the opportunity to work during part of the school day through supervised employment in the community. Eligible students receive 10 high school credits for SLE and an additional 5 credits for Career Education Class. Students may also be paid for their Structured Learning Experiences, which are geared toward their field of interest.

Participating students must meet goals outlined in the Core Content Curriculum Standard (CCCS) 9.1 to 9.3, and must be approved by their district Child Study Team. Creative Achievement Academy has established community partners with several local businesses. The SLE teacher will select interested students who demonstrate good attendance, good citizenship, and a desire to join the work force.

Students gather valuable information on resume making, engaging in a successful job interview, and establishing a positive work ethic. The program has proven very successful with many students remaining on the job after graduation.

Students interested in the food service industry should visit our Culinary Arts Experience webpage.
